Mum was born in Kennford Devon, and moved to the next village of Kenn when she was 5. She attended the local school and left when she was 15 years old to go into service at Trehill House as a parlour maid, the war then came along and she joined the ATS and was cooking for the troops. After the war she worked in Farnborough Hospital Kent as a cook. She met our Dad in 1946 and got married that year, they had 3 children Stephen Karen & Sally, and lived for many Happy years in Penge S.E. London. sadly Dad died in 2005 and as Mum had developed Alzheimer's disease it was no longer possible for her to live there alone so she moved down to Folkestone and then to a care home in Shepherdswell.
Sadly Mum passed after a struggle with Alzheimer's and is now at peace.
